Dóra Emilsdóttir studied at the Icelandic college of arts and crafts as well as finishing her MA at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands. Her paintings are characterized by the irrational intertwined with the objective of the piece. A poetic take on boundaries, body and landscape, a taboo where everything is allowed; glitter, pink lace, shimmering clouds. All the small details of the universe coming together to create a whole.
She is known for her paintings but also makes unique one of a kind hats. Made from various materials in a playful combination of color and texture.
